I have been a high school teacher for over 40 years and with empathy and compassion, have enabled many students to be the best that they can be and to transform the quality of their lives. I could see that adolescents who were having behavioural issues in the classroom needed empathy and someone to listen to them, rather than punishment, which only reinforces lack of self-esteem. I specialise in working with adolescents.
I have also assisted people on their personal journeys of self-transformation, with a variety of issues for about 8 years, with wonderful results.
More recently, I have been drawn into the world of death and dying, sadly having experienced first hand the loss of dear friends. I started Death Cafe - Sydney using the guidelines established by Jon Underwood for Death Cafe as a place where people can come together to talk about death and dying.
I have a particular interest in working with clients who have been diagnosed with cancer as well as anyone who is struggling with death issues, whether it be fear or anxiety about their own mortality, or grieving the loss of a loved one.
